At a glance

No advertising cookies

We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other sites.

The website sets no cookies

Our marketing site only stores data in your browser for the interactive demo.

One cookie to sign in

The app uses one secure cookie to keep you signed in.

Analytics you can block

Blocking analytics and error reporting does not stop the app working.

This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.

1 What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser and reads back on later visits. Browser storage (local storage, session storage and IndexedDB) works in a similar way but stays on your device and is not sent with every request. This policy uses "cookies" for both unless it says otherwise.

We group them by purpose:

  • Strictly necessary: needed for the service to work, such as keeping you signed in. These cannot be switched off without breaking the service.
  • Functional: remember your settings and keep your work available offline.
  • Analytics and error monitoring: help us understand how the app is used and fix problems.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

2 On our website

Our marketing website (herdfarmcentral.com) sets no cookies of its own. It uses browser storage only for its interactive demo:

NameTypePurposeDuration
hfc_v2_animals, hfc_v2_treatments, hfc_v2_pensLocal storage · functionalKeeps the sample records you add or change in the live demo, so they are still there when you come back. Nothing is sent to us.Until you clear your browser's site data

The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser information but does not set cookies for this. When you send a message through our contact form, it is delivered by EmailJS.

The exact names used by third-party providers can change when they update their software. The purposes above do not.

4 When you pay

Payments are taken on pages hosted by Stripe or Paystack. Those pages set their own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud, under the provider's own cookie policy. We do not control them, and they are not set on our domain.

5 How to control cookies

  • Browser settings. Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site data. Look under Settings → Privacy (or Cookies and site data).
  • Blocking analytics. Content blockers and "do not track" style tools that block PostHog or Sentry do not stop the app working.
  • Strictly necessary cookies. If you block the rt cookie you will not be able to stay signed in.
  • Shared devices. Sign out when you finish on a shared computer or tablet, so the next person cannot use your session.

6 Changes to this policy

When we add or change a cookie, we update this page and the date at the top. More about how we handle personal information is in our Privacy Policy.
